Public Service Recognition Week on the Horizon

The time is at hand for the recognition of government employees who work hard for the taxpayers 鈥 Public Service Recognition Week begins Sunday, May 4. Here is a rundown of what鈥檚 in store.

First, don鈥檛 miss our own effort to honor some of the most dedicated. We鈥檙e asking you to send in photographs of yourself or your colleagues on the job, along with caption information and your contact information, in case we have questions. Post them on our听听辞谤听, using hashtag #PicPerfectService. We need them by May 9.

The theme for听PSRW2014 is 鈥Proud to Serve.鈥 The听听and its members organize the annual event. Events coming up include:

  • Public Service 5K run/walk, 9 a.m. in Anacostia Park.
  • Samuel J. Heyman Service to 精东影业 Medals Finalists Announcement (invitation only).
  • Washington Nationals Government Employee Appreciation, with discounted tickets to a game.
  • Public Service Town Hall, a panel discussion on the value of government employees.
