Giving Back has its Perks [Infographic]
The Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy (CECP) released its inaugural Giving in Numbers Brief at the CECP summit through an infographic. The major theme was that investing in communities is simply good from a business and revenue perspective. In total, 261 companies took part in the survey, with median revenues of $16 billion and pre-tax profits of $1.9 billion. Corporate contributions have increased with revenues and profits since 2010. In 2013, each company in the top 25 percent contributed $54 million or more and gave 1.95 percent of pre-tax profits or more.
