The Congressman was able to see firsthand both the rehabilitation and quality of life programs offered through the PRC. After exploring the NRN facility, the Congressman connected with participants and therapists on emerging therapies and reviewed the benefits of activity-based exercises. A highlight of the tour included an introduction toÌýlocomotor training: A type of therapy designed to help participants “remember” the pattern of walking while suspended in a harness over a treadmill, as specially-trained therapists move their legs.
