Livestrong Announces New President and CEO, Former Komen Executive, Chandini Portteus
The Board of Directors of the听听has announced that it has selected Chandini Portteus as the Foundation鈥檚 next president and chief executive officer, effective April 6, 2015. Portteus, 36, joins LIVESTRONG听after nearly 10 years with Susan G. Komen, where she served most recently as Chief Mission Officer responsible for strategy and programming around research, community health, public policy and global programs.
鈥淐handini鈥檚 experience, energy and commitment to the cancer community makes her perfectly suited to lead the next stage of LIVESTRONG鈥檚 evolution. Her work forging alliances with both corporate and academic partners will be extremely valuable as we launch the LIVESTRONGCancer Institutes at the Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin,鈥 said听, chairman of the LIVESTRONG听Foundation鈥檚 board of directors. 鈥淲e are thrilled to welcome Chandini to the LIVESTRONG听蹿补尘颈濒测.鈥
