L’OCCITANE Donates $120,000 to Dress for Success to Empower Women in the Workforce

NEW YORK,ÌýJan. 12, 2016Ìý/PRNewswire/ — Natural French beauty retailer L’OCCITANE has donated$120,000Ìý³Ù´Ç Dress for Success, a gift that will help up to 2,400 women begin their journey to achieving their professional goals in 2016. ÌýL’OCCITANE U.S. Managing DirectorÌýMaddie SmithÌýpresented the check to Dress for Success Worldwide CEOÌýJoi GordonÌýduring a ceremony inÌýNew York CityÌý²â±ð²õ³Ù±ð°ù»å²¹²â.

L’OCCITANE had pledged to donateÌý$10Ìýfor every gift set purchased during the 2015 holiday season (up to$120,000) to Dress for Success to help prepare women for job interviews.

“Presenting our donation to Dress for Success was an extremely emotional and gratifying experience,” said Smith. “Philanthropy is at the heart of everything L’OCCITANE stands for, and knowing our funds will make a difference in the lives of so many women is deeply meaningful and inspiring.”

L’OCCITANE has been a long-time advocate for the economic independence of women supporting women’s leadership programs inÌýWest AfricaÌýfor over 20 years. In 2015, the brand’s North ¾«¶«Ó°Òµn headquarters partnered with Dress for Success to empower women on a local level and deepen the brand’s commitment to female empowerment on a global scale.
