Recap: Hurricane Harvey

Hurricane Harvey made landfall on August 25 and was the strongest hurricane to hit Texas in more than 50 years.ÌýThe stormÌýkilled 77 people. Harvey also displaced more than 1 million people in the immediate aftermath, and it damaged an estimated 200,000 homes across a 300-mile stretch of the Gulf Coast. It caused anÌýestimated $180 billion in damage and will require years to make a full recovery along the Gulf Coast.ÌýThankfully, several generous donors stepped up to help these residents recover by donating to the ¾«¶«Ó°Òµâ€™s Charities Disaster Recovery FundÌýsupporting Hurricane Harvey.

¾«¶«Ó°Òµâ€™s Charities worked with our partner, the , to identify where the need was greatest and where donations would have the most meaningful impact. After diving deep into the needs of those impacted by Hurricane Matthew, CDP identified identifiedÌýÌýas the nonprofit to receive support.
